EY is seeking a Senior Consultant in Data Protection & Privacy within its Cybersecurity Practice in the United States. You will help clients define requirements, implement data protection solutions and develop policies to safeguard critical data across lifecycle stages.

The role emphasizes enterprise data loss prevention, data discovery, classification and DRM, with travel estimated at 60-80% and opportunities for professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or graduate degree with related work experience.
• Experience integrating data protection software into client infrastructure.
• Knowledge of security concepts like vulnerability assessments, privacy assessments, incident response.
• Familiarity with OS/hardware basics (Windows, UNIX, mainframes) and networking.
• Demonstrated experience in three or more areas: DRM, data classification, encryption, PKI, logging/monitoring, data leakage.

Responsibilities

• Define technical and business requirements for data protection solutions.
• Develop data protection processes and policies for data access control.
• Identify high-value assets and design data lifecycle protections.
• Implement data loss prevention, data discovery, and data classification.
• Support client data protection across multiple environments.
