Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Senior Cyber Security and Compliance Consultant to advise clients on compliance, cyber security, IT controls, and governance frameworks. You will assess operations, propose mitigations, and guide programs from planning through execution.

Two+ years in security compliance and IT controls are required; certifications such as CISA/CISM/CISSP are preferred. This role involves client communication and travel up to 50% across client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• Two+ years in IT controls, cyber security or security compliance.
• Experience with PCI, HIPAA, CIS, ISO, or PCI-DSS projects preferred.
• Security certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in engagements for PCI, data security, compliance and governance frameworks.
• Develops assessment and gap reports with observations and possible solutions.
• Documents client interviews and memos; supports remediation planning.
• Travels up to 50% or as needed; manages multiple project requests.
