Job summary

Peraton Labs is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to own and mature the written compliance posture of the Agentic AI platform. You will lead SSPs, policies, SOPs, and RMF/ATO efforts with auditors in mind, translating complex security into clear narratives.

Collaboration with platform, cloud, and security engineers is essential to ensure alignment between written controls and actual infrastructure. You will coordinate evidence collection, manage POA&Ms, and maintain a library of security

Qualifications

• Minimum BS with 12+ years of experience in security compliance or related roles.
• Deep hands-on experience authoring and maintaining SSPs aligned to NIST 800-171/800-53.
• Experience supporting ATO efforts, security assessments, and CMMC readiness.
• Strong ability to liaise with auditors and compliance stakeholders.
• Ability to map control narratives to implemented infrastructure and processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the written compliance posture of the Agentic AI platform.
• Author and evolve SSPs and related artifacts for ATO and assessments.
• Develop additional SSPs and documentation for expanding authorization needs.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive security policy and SOP library.
• Manage POA&Ms, track remediation, and provide visibility into open items.
• Coordinate evidence collection for internal and external assessments.
• Serve as primary compliance point of contact for auditors and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with platform/cloud/security teams to reflect actual implementations.
• Review diagrams and IaC to ensure compliant narratives reflect reality.
• Drive clarity, consistency, and quality across compliance materials.
