Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to own the Agentic AI platform end-to-end, spanning CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and runtime operations. You will build resilient, observable, and secure systems that scale with production AI workloads.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on implementation with strong engineering judgment, delivering auditable platforms and modern development practices in a security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD plus 6+ years of platform engineering, DevOps, SRE experience.
• Deep CI/CD with GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS operations.
• Senior AWS experience: VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, KMS.
• Experience building monitoring/logging at scale: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Infrastructure-as-code with OpenTofu/Terraform.
• Experience with trunk-based development and MR-driven changes.
• Security-focused CI/CD: secrets mgmt, least privilege, supply chain integrity.
• Ability to design observable, secure, audit-ready platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the Agentic AI platform end-to-end: CI/CD, cloud infra, Kubernetes ops, observability, reliability.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions / GitLab CI for secure delivery workflows.
• Implement automated testing and quality gates across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Lead AWS/EKS environments: cluster lifecycle, upgrades, RBAC, Helm, GitOps workflows.
• Build and maintain AWS infra: VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, KMS.
• Provision and manage infra with OpenTofu/Terraform; IaC practices.
• Operate monitoring/alerting stack: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana; define SLOs.
• Develop synthetic monitoring and health checks for real auth flows and critical transactions.
• Support security testing in pipelines: DAST, SAST/SCA results, triage findings.
• Promote trunk-based development and automated release quality controls.
