Job summary

Hut 8 Corp is seeking a Cybersecurity Principal, a senior security leader responsible for executing Hut 8’s cybersecurity strategy and turning it into secure architecture and measurable control improvements across IT, mining ops, data centers, cloud, and AI/compute environments.

The role leads major security work streams, designs practical solutions, guides implementation, validates controls, and partners with engineering, security vendors, and operations to build a mature security program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, or relevant cloud security certifications preferred.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of security architecture across IAM, cloud, network, endpoints, data, and OT environments.
• Experience designing and delivering security capabilities such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, incident response, IAM and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy into executable security plans and prioritized workstreams.
• Design and implement defense-in-depth security architecture across IAM, networks, cloud, data, and OT.
• Establish secure architecture patterns, standards, and security-by-default practices.
• Lead implementation of SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, incident response, and IAM.
• Improve access controls including MFA, SSO, least privilege, and privileged access workflows.
• Secure cloud, SaaS, data, application, and AI/compute environments.
• Collaborate with engineering to secure integrations, CI/CD pipelines, production platforms, and data lifecycles.
• Support incident response from detection to remediation and post-incident analysis.
• Lead vulnerability management prioritization, remediation planning, and reporting.
• Document controls and evidence for governance, risk, and compliance programs.
