As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will work with a well-developed team of professionals to help ensure the security of new and existing systems at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating ATO Packages and accompanying documentation for information systems
- Performing Continuous Monitoring/Sustainment activities on information systems
- Managing Risk Exception Processes and Creating RMF Strategies for Supply Chain Management Systems
- Assisting with information system security control assessments as needed
- Creating processes for improving team workflows
- Translating requirements to federal stakeholders to support the development of security documentation
- Navigating the VA GRC tool to quickly progress systems through the RMF process
- Leading a team of cybersecurity professionals in service of VA’s Supply Chain Management program

What You Know
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar and 10 years experience. 8 years additional experience can work in lieu of a degree
- Experience leading technical teams
- Demonstrable working familiarity with NIST 800-53 is required
- Assessment & Authorization experience at VA
- CISSP (required)
- CISA or CISM (strongly preferred)
- CCSK (preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (preferred)
What You Have To Have
- 10 years of cybersecurity experience
- Experience with a risk management framework such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002, HITRUST, FedRAMP, etc, required - FedRAMP experience strongly preferred
- Federal Information Systems experience & knowledge of the security control assessment process
- Information Security experience within a Government, Healthcare, or Privacy Sensitive environment
- Understanding of Cloud Systems Architecture
- FISMA experience (preferred)
- HIPAA experience (preferred)
- Identity and Access Management knowledge and background (preferred)
- Must be a US Citizen, with the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
- Some travel may be required
