Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a seasoned Cyber Threat Detection and Response professional to lead and mature its threat intelligence program. The role collaborates with Security Engineering, IT Architects, Risk and Legal, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer.

You will monitor SIEM/EDR, develop SOPs, manage threat intel tools, and participate in incident response and assessments, in a remote-capable environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Security and cyber threat intelligence.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat landscape and attack techniques.
• Experience with incident response methodologies and playbooks.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS CSCs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cybersecurity solutions (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, network, FW/IPS, DLP, cloud).
• Develop and maintain 24/7 SOC Tier 1/2 SOPs and playbooks.
• Manage threat detection tools: malware analysis, email analysis, network analysis, IOC feeds, sandboxing.
• Maintain threat intelligence KPIs and reporting capabilities.
• Follow digital forensic programs and execute incident response plans.
• Assists in penetration testing and annual service assessments.
