Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Cyber Threat Detection and Response professional to shape and maintain a Cyber Threat Intelligence program. You will operate and improve existing processes, partnering with Security Engineering, IT Architects, Risk and Legal, reporting to the CISO.

Responsibilities include monitoring SIEM/EDR, developing SOC SOPs, coordinating threat intelligence KPIs, and supporting incident response, for a remote US-based role with a 5+ year background in information security.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat landscape.
• Knowledge of frameworks and best practices (NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, CIS CSCs, MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain).
• Mentor junior cyber threat analysts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cybersecurity solutions including SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, network, FW/IPS, DLP, and cloud for suspicious activity.
• Develop and maintain 24/7 SOC Tier 1 and Tier 2 cyber security SOPs and playbooks.
• Manage threat intelligence KPIs and reporting capabilities; perform digital forensics per workflow.
• Assist in penetration testing and yearly managed service assessment.
• Execute incident response plans and support threat hunting activities.
