Job summary

Ascensus seeks a seasoned Cyber Threat Detection and Response professional to lead and mature its Cyber Threat Intelligence program. You will partner with Security Engineering, IT Architects, Risk and Legal, reporting to the CISO.

Responsibilities include monitoring SIEM/EDR, developing 24/7 SOC SOPs, overseeing threat intelligence KPIs, supporting incident response and annual pen tests, and mentoring junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of information security experience.
• Solid understanding of the cyber threat landscape and associated concepts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain).

Responsibilities

• Monitor cybersecurity solutions including SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, Network, FW/IPS, DLP, and cloud for suspicious activity.
• Develop and maintain 24/7 SOC Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOPs and playbooks.
• Manage threat detection/response tools including malware analysis, email analysis, application analysis (SAST/DAST), and threat intel feeds.
• Maintain threat intelligence KPIs and reporting capabilities.
• Assist in incident response and penetration testing activities.
