Ascensus is a leading technology and service platform powering savings plans across America. The Cyber Threat Detection and Response team shapes and maintains a Cyber Threat Intelligence program aligned with industry standards.

The role partners with Security Engineering, IT architects, Risk and Legal, and reports to the CISO. The position focuses on monitoring security controls, developing 24/7 SOC SOPs, and guiding threat detection and response efforts across SIEM, EDR, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of information security experience.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat landscape.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, PCI-DSS.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cybersecurity solutions (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, network, FW/IPS, DLP, cloud).
• Develop and maintain 24/7 SOC SOPs and playbooks.
• Manage threat intelligence KPIs and reporting.
• Execute incident response plans and digital forensic processes.
• Support penetration testing and security assessments.
