Job summary

Trellix is seeking a Cyber Threat Hunter for a full-time, on-site role at Fort Shafter, HI in a classified environment. You will lead consulting engagements, perform threat hunting, develop reports, and contribute to client security improvements.

Qualifications include 5+ years in threat hunting or federal enterprise capabilities, with TS/SCI eligibility. Strong knowledge of Trellix endpoint security and related tools is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, detection capabilities, and countermeasures.
• Experience in Security Operations Center to monitor alerts, respond and remediate issues.
• Knowledge of Incident Management processes related to threats and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to create detailed Threat Hunting plans, briefings and reports.
• Experience with Windows, Mac, Linux OS and application hardening.
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Go, C#, or similar; API integrations with SIEM/SOAR/XDR.
• Experience with SIEM tools and event correlation/analysis.
• Proficiency in cybersecurity operations, engineering, and systems engineering.
• Experience with Virtualization (VMware, Nutanix) and Cloud Services (AWS, Azure).
• Ability to analyze network traffic with packet/protocol tools.
• Design, implement, and transfer knowledge for security applications/endpoint protection.
• Identify gaps in security architecture and propose mitigations.
• Author reports and white papers on security topics.
• Engage with customers and internal teams to scope and deliver engagements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform client work related to Trellix product services.
• Create end-of-engagement reports describing findings and analyses.
• Maintain intellectual capital and contribute improvements to processes and offerings.
• Mentor peers and deliver training; participate in small- to mid-size engagements.
• Interact with customers, managers, and teams on project scope, proposals, and invoicing.
