Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Cyber, Security & Intel space in Ft. Meade, MD. The role supports mission-critical projects for national security and intelligence, in a SCIF environment, with travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise IT solutions, managing Agile workloads with JIRA/Confluence, and ensuring DoD security compliance. A Bachelor’s in an IT field or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server 2022-2025, AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS.
• PKI management and CA operations; Infoblox DNS/DHCP.
• VMware ESXi, vCenter; Nutanix AHV/AOS/Prism; Cisco UCS/HyperFlex.
• RHEL administration; DoD classified environment exposure.
• Splunk, SCCM/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager familiarity.
• Security standards: STIGs, RMF; DoD 8570 IAT-II baseline.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify solutions from system requirements.
• Contribute to system design, development, and engineering tasks.
• Manage workload during Agile sprints using JIRA/Confluence.
• Produce architecture docs and integration plans.
• Deploy enterprise-level virtualization and management suites.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient services.
• Install, configure, and maintain OS, apps, and tools.
• Provide solutions to government customers; advise on tech choices.
• Perform system/software updates to improve performance.
• Install, configure, and manage SQL Server and backup systems.
