Job summary

Peraton seeks a Senior Cyber Software Engineer to support the Atlantis Program at NIWC PAC in San Diego, CA. You will help sustain and upgrade the ATLANTIS system, design scalable software, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality solutions.

You will develop in C/C++, Golang, Python, and Java, perform Linux-based development and system administration, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with RMF/NIST cybersecurity controls.

Qualifications

• 12 years with a BS/BA, 10 years with a MS/MA, or 7 years with a PhD (or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Clearance: Secret and able to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience in cybersecurity engineering and secure system design.

Responsibilities

• Software development, design, test, and maintain high-quality software in C/C++, Go, Python, and Java.
• Design scalable systems with microservices architecture.
• Linux-based software development, system administration, and tuning.
• Code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and operations to deliver quality products.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues.
• Document technical designs and software processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to improve systems.
• Optional: leverage knowledge of PCoIP to optimize software.
