Peraton is seeking a Mid Level System Administrator to support the Atlantis Program contract at NIWC Pacific in San Diego, CA. You will assist with ongoing operations, lifecycle growth, maintenance and sustainment, system administration, upgrades, and logistics for the Joint Cross Domain Exchange (JCDX) system deployed globally for U.S.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in help desk, desktop support, or systems support.
• Linux Administration: Working knowledge of installing, configuring, navigating, and maintaining Linux-based operating systems and environments.
• Linux Command Line & Scripting: Proficiency with the Linux command line and shell environments. Ability to develop and utilize scripts for system administration, automation, and troubleshooting using Bash, Python, and/or Go.

Responsibilities

• Proficient-level troubleshooting of Windows OS internals (drivers, registry, event logs).
• Networking fundamentals and intermediate concepts (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routes, VPN tunnels).
• Enterprise software environments and integrations.
• Networking Fundamentals: IP addressing, subnetting, routing, VLANs, ACLs, and basic network troubleshooting.
• System troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve OS, networking, and hardware/software issues using CLI, logs, and standard methods.
• Technical Documentation: document system configuration, procedures, and changes clearly.
