Job summary

Azusa Solutions seeks a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a team of consultants in protecting client systems and data. The role focuses on design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of security controls, audits, and incident response processes across federal-style environments.

The successful candidate will have a Top Secret clearance, be local to DC/MD/VA, and possess strong skills in cloud, IAM, architecture reviews, and vulnerability management.

Qualifications

• Ability to write clear security and compliance documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills across engineers, ISSOs, and assessors.
• Ability to read and discuss architecture documentation and design diagrams.
• Basic understanding of Cloud, networking, identity and access management, security, and logging concepts as they relate to security controls.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipeline concepts, and vulnerability management workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, and maintain security systems, networks, and data protection measures.
• Conduct security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses.
• Monitor systems for anomalies, investigate incidents, and apply patches or configuration changes.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans ensuring business continuity during breaches.
• Create, update, and enforce security policies, standards, and operating procedures.
