Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a senior security engineer to provide comprehensive security engineering and sustainment for cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-prem environments. You will design secure baselines, maintain SOPs, review designs, and support leadership with cost optimization and continuous monitoring.

You will develop secure configurations, monitor logs, and ensure compliance with federal standards while supporting audits and training for staff.

Qualifications

5 years of experience in system administration, database administration, network engineering, software engineering, or software development with a concentration in Cyber Security.
Bachelor-level degree in CS/Engineering/IT/Cybersecurity or related field with 5 years of related experience.
Preferred AWS security certifications listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

Architect, engineer, deploy, and sustain secure, resilient cloud/hybrid-cloud/on-premise applications and systems; review and approve secure designs.
Develop, deploy, and maintain secure baselines for all cloud and on-premise systems per federal mandates and policy.
Create and maintain SOPs, policies, architectural diagrams, and system controls documentation.
Ensure logs are collected and monitored; optimize logging to reduce noise and improve performance.
Develop and maintain continuous monitoring for availability, performance, security, and response.
Monitor cloud expenditures and provide cost-optimization recommendations; manage hybrid-cloud monitoring tools.
Conduct market research on new security solutions; report cybersecurity incidents per regulations.
Support audits; act as SME for cloud security knowledge and training transfers.
Manage access requests, change-impact, root-cause analyses; maintain ticketing system.
