Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Risk Analyst for a US remote role within the Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. You will lead enterprise cyber risk assessments and translate risk into business terms to guide accept, mitigate, or remediate decisions.

The role emphasizes assessment-heavy work across networking, cloud, endpoint, and identity decisions, with travel up to 25% and a requirement for US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Typically 8 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field plus; or 4 years with Master’s
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management and third-party cyber risk assessment
• Current Security+ or an equivalent industry certification
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• U.S. Remote-Telework role; must reside within the United States to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cyber risk assessments across the enterprise, identifying risk to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data
• Articulate cyber risk to business and technical leadership in clear, decision-ready terms, framed against the enterprise's risk appetite
• Take lead on cyber risk reviews across third-party, temporary, and software risk
• Work with Compliance to ensure coherent risk treatment across frameworks
• Evaluate cyber risk implications of technology decisions across networking, cloud, endpoint, and identity architectures
• Articulate when residual cyber risk exceeds appetite and specify required risk reduction
• Contribute risk-posture perspectives to enterprise scoping and architecture decisions
• Improve GR&C operational processes: methodology, intake, risk articulation standards, evidence handling
• Maintain current knowledge of cyber risk landscape and bring it into assessments
• Travel up to 25 percent.
