Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Risk Analyst for a US remote role within the Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. You will own enterprise cyber risk assessment work and articulate risk to leadership in business terms to guide decisions.

The role emphasizes assessment-heavy work across networking, cloud, endpoint, and identity decisions, with travel up to 25 percent and a requirement for US citizenship. This position operates remotely within the United States.

Qualifications

• Typically 8 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; or 4 years with Master’s.
• Experience in enterprise risk management and third-party or vendor cyber risk assessment.
• Current Security+ or equivalent certification; hands-on capability valued over credentials.
• U.S. Citizenship required; Remote-Telework within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cyber risk assessments across the enterprise identifying risk to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
• Articulate cyber risk to leadership in clear, decision-ready terms against the risk appetite.
• Lead cyber risk reviews across various assessment types and track AI development related to cyber risk.
• Coordinate with Compliance to ensure risk treatment is coherent across frameworks.
• Evaluate risk implications of networking, cloud, endpoint, and identity architectures.
• Articulate residual risk exceeding appetite and specify required reductions.
• Contribute to scoping and architecture with residual risk considerations for enclaves and certification environments.
• Improve GR&C operations: methodology, intake, risk articulation standards, evidence handling, consistency of judgments.
• Maintain current knowledge of cyber risk, threats, technology, and regulatory landscape; travel up to 25%.
