Qualifications

• Membership in the Florida Bar and five years of criminal trial law experience.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute cyber fraud crimes, focusing on cryptocurrency, the internet and related technologies used to commit fraud.
• Review and evaluate evidence for prosecution of criminal cases.
• Advise and assist investigators in investigations, including review of warrants, surveillance orders, and witness statements.
• Make charging decisions in consultation with the Bureau Chief Assistant.
• Coordinate with other divisions and agencies to pursue civil or administrative remedies when appropriate.
• Prepare and file charging instruments and coordinate surrender or arrest of defendants.
• Represent the State at bond hearings, pre-trial motions, and at trial and sentencing as needed.
