Qualifications

• Florida Bar membership with five years of criminal trial experience.

Responsibilities

• This position will focus on prosecutions of cyber fraud where cryptocurrency, the internet, and advanced tech are used to commit or facilitate fraud.
• Reviewing and evaluating evidence for prosecution of criminal cases.
• Submitting data and recommendations for intake decisions to accept or reject cases for prosecution.
• Advising investigating agencies and reviewing search warrants, electronic surveillance, affidavits and warrants, and statements from witnesses.
• Making charging decisions in consultation with the Bureau Chief Assistant.
• Coordinating with other divisions and agencies to pursue civil or administrative remedies.
• Preparing and filing charging instruments and coordinating surrender or arrest of defendants.
• Representing the State at bond hearings, in pre-trial motions, at calendar calls, and at trial; handling post-trial hearings and sentencing.
