Job summary

The Office of the Attorney General in Florida is seeking an ASST STW PROSECUTOR-SENIOR ATTORNEY-DLA to prosecute cyber fraud crimes in multiple Florida locations, including Orlando. A Florida Bar membership and five years of criminal trial experience are required; preference for prior criminal prosecution work.

The role focuses on investigating, charging, and trying complex fraud cases involving cryptocurrency, the internet, and related technologies within the Cyber Fraud Enforcement Unit.

Qualifications

• Membership in the Florida Bar and five years of criminal trial law experience.
• Preference may be given to applicants with criminal prosecution experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate evidence for prosecution of criminal cases.
• Submit data and recommendations for intake decisions to accept or reject cases.
• Advise investigating agencies and review warrants and orders for prosecutions.
• Make charging decisions in consultation with supervisors.
• Coordinate with other divisions and law enforcement for civil or administrative remedies.
• Represent the State at bond hearings, pre-trial motions, and trials.
