Job summary

Office of the Attorney General of Florida seeks an ASST STW PROSECUTOR-SENIOR ATTORNEY for its Cyber Fraud Enforcement Unit. The role may be filled in Tampa, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale or Miami and focuses on prosecuting cyber fraud crimes.

Required Florida Bar membership and five years of criminal trial experience; preference for applicants with criminal prosecution background. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Membership in the Florida Bar and five years of criminal trial law experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and evaluating evidence for prosecution of criminal cases.
• Submitting all necessary data and recommendations to the Chief Assistant for intake decisions.
• Advising and assisting the investigating agency in investigations and case preparation for prosecution.
• Making charging decisions in consultation with the Bureau Chief Assistant.
• Preparing and filing charging instruments.
• Representing the State at bond hearings, pre-trial motions, calendar calls, trials and post-trial hearings.
• Maintaining contact with other divisions/agencies for civil or administrative remedies.
• Traveling to perform investigative, litigation, and training functions.
