Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Engineer in Suitland, MD to build and maintain security systems protecting TS/SCI networks. You will ensure cybersecurity tools operate securely and reliably across complex environments.

You will serve as a senior technical resource, delivering Tier 3 escalation support, evaluating emerging technologies, and leading engineering and administration of cybersecurity capabilities across the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Cybersecurity/InfoTech/Info Assurance or related field desired
• Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Active TS/SCI clearance in DISS
• 10+ years in LAN/WAN, networking, Windows and Unix/Linux
• 6+ years integrating and operating cybersecurity technologies
• Experience with SIEM platforms: Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic
• Familiarity with enterprise network management and cybersecurity tools
• Knowledge of vulnerability management tools: Retina, Nessus (ACAS), SCAP
• Knowledge of virtualization: VMware, Azure VMs, VirtualBox
• Scripting/programming: Python, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, PowerShell, C/C++, Java
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Strong documentation and training delivery skills

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies for enterprise use
• Lead engineering and system administration for new cybersecurity tools
• Install, configure, integrate, and maintain cybersecurity tools across complex networks
• Perform network/system hardening and RMF activities for DoD requirements
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
• Support Windows and Unix/Linux environments for tools/applications
• Support tool integration, upgrades, maintenance, lifecycle management
• Validate interoperability between new and existing capabilities
• Develop/document system diagrams, procedures, and user guides
• Develop and deliver training on cybersecurity tools and processes
• Support annual cybersecurity exercise planning and execution
