Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Engineer in Suitland, MD to build, configure, integrate, and maintain security systems protecting TS/SCI networks. You will lead engineering and administration of cybersecurity capabilities, provide Tier 3 escalation support, and evaluate emerging technologies across the enterprise.

You will implement, harden, and manage tools, collaborate across teams, and develop documentation and training to sustain secure operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI Security clearance in DISS.
• 10+ years of experience with LAN/WAN, networking protocols, file systems, ports, services, and Windows/Linux.
• 6+ years of experience integrating, implementing, and operating cybersecurity technologies.
• Knowledge of SIEM: Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic.
• Experience with enterprise network management and cybersecurity tools.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Retina, Nessus (ACAS), and SCAP.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies: VMware, Azure VMs, VirtualBox.
• Scripting/programming: Python, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, C, C++, Java.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow for ticketing/reporting.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies for potential enterprise use.
• Lead engineering and system administration for new cybersecurity tools and technologies.
• Install, configure, integrate, administer, and maintain cybersecurity technologies across networks.
• Perform hardening and RMF activities to meet DoD security benchmarks.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support including root-cause analysis and performance tuning.
• Support Windows and Unix/Linux OS and applications.
• Assist with cybersecurity tool integration, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Develop technical documentation, system diagrams, and user guides.
• Develop and deliver training on cybersecurity tools, architectures, technologies, and processes.
• Support annual cybersecurity exercise planning and execution.
