Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Sr. Staff Cyber Defense Engineer to join the Information Security team in a hands-on engineering role.

You will act as a hands-on cyber defense architect, technical lead, and senior authority, shaping architecture, telemetry, and detections while guiding cross-functional initiatives across detection, response, hunting, automation, and readiness. You will influence the technical strategy aligned to risk and threat landscape, own the lifecycle of detection engineering, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or higher.
• 13+ years of related experience for Bachelor’s track; 8+ years with Master’s; 5+ years with PhD.

Responsibilities

• Influence technical strategy and roadmap for Enterprise Cyber Defense.
• Serve as technical authority for cyber defense architecture & patterns.
• Own detection engineering lifecycle including logic and telemetry requirements.
• Design cyber defense capabilities, detections, telemetry, and SOAR workflows.
• Lead cross-functional cyber defense initiatives and complex transformations.
• Provide senior leadership during major cyber incidents and incident analysis.
