Job summary

Quantum Sky seeks an experienced Cyber Countermeasure Specialist to join the DCO team supporting DISA PAC at Ford Island, HI. You will bridge threat intel, incident analysis, and active defense across boundary sensors, cloud points, and enterprise SIEM platforms up to TS/SCI.

You will develop, test, deploy, and de-conflict signatures and countermeasures, track changes, and ensure mission stability while complying with DoD standards. This role requires U.S. citizenship and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 2+ years CND/IDS/security tool experience
• Senior: 4+ years experience; or Associate + 6+ years; or 8+ years military service in lieu of a degree
• Must hold a DoD 8140.03 / DCWF certification before start date
• Proven experience writing, testing, deploying custom intrusion signatures (Snort, Suricata, YARA, Bro/Zeek)
• Knowledge of Cisco FirePOWER Management Center and related security tools
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS and packet inspection
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK techniques
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
• U.S. Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and deploy custom detection and prevention signatures for various security systems
• Tune perimeter defenses across DISA boundaries using listed security platforms
• Analyze telemetry and refine blocking algorithms to reduce false positives/negatives
• Track deployed countermeasures and document de-confliction actions
• Execute rapid rollback procedures and adhere to government network freeze rules
