Job summary

The Newberry Group is seeking a Cyber Countermeasure Specialist to join the DISA PAC team on Ford Island, HI. This onsite role focuses on threat intel, incident analysis, and active network defense across unclassified and secret networks, up to TS/SCI with eligibility.

You will engineer, test, deploy, and de-conflict custom signatures, firewall rules, and automated blocking across global boundary sensors and SIEM platforms. A DoD clearance and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 are included.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 baseline certification required prior to start.
• Experience in computer network defense and security tool engineering.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and deploy detection signatures and firewall rules.
• Tune perimeter defenses and manage automated blocking actions.
• Track countermeasures and document changes for CMDB.
• Automate containment actions and develop SOAR playbooks.
• Coordinate with DISA/DJOC and regulatory reporting.
