Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Chicago seeks a Senior Cyber Class Action Attorney to defend privacy lawsuits nationwide, with a flexible hybrid schedule and potential reporting to regional offices.

You will manage strategy and timelines for multiple class actions, draft dispositive motions, coordinate discovery, and participate in mediations. The role requires a JD, 8+ years of complex litigation, and strong writing and research skills; cybersecurity/privacy background is a plus, not required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of complex litigation experience in state and federal courts.
• Class action litigation experience required.
• Cybersecurity and data privacy background preferred but not essential.
• Excellent research and writing skills, including drafting briefs and dispositive motions.
• Experience defending in data breach or privacy class actions is a plus.
• Working knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure.
• Highly organized and able to meet deadlines in multiple cases.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Defend privacy lawsuits and data breach class actions in state and federal courts nationwide.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment.
• Manage strategy and timelines for multiple class action cases.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery, and take and defend depositions.
• Participate in mediations for class action settlements and draft settlement papers for court approval.
