Job summary

Acuren is seeking a certified CWI to support our West Region operations. You will perform visual and non-destructive examinations, review inspection procedures, and ensure compliance with API and ASME codes on critical equipment.

Level III inspectors may lead projects, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with engineering, quality, and client teams. Travel to client sites is required, and we value safety, integrity, and high technical standards.

Qualifications

• Valid CWI certification.
• Certification of API 510/570.
• 5–6 years' experience or 6+ years on site.
• Deep knowledge of API 510/570/653 and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.
• Open to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment.
• Provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide guidance on non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
• Comply with all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel if needed.
