Job summary

Acuren is actively recruiting CWI professionals to support our West Region operations. The role involves performing visual and non-destructive examinations on pressure retaining equipment, reviewing procedures, and making acceptance decisions in line with API and ASME standards.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid CWI, API 510/570, and have 5–6 years of on-site petrochemical experience, with API 653 considered a plus. Willingness to travel and collaborate with engineering teams is required.

Qualifications

• Valid CWI certification.
• API 510/570 certification.
• 5–6 years' experience or 6+ years on site.
• API 653 is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of API 510/570/653/CWI and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repairs, re-rating, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment.
• Offer technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Apply non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
• Follow all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Travel as required.
