Kootenai Health is seeking a Surgical Scrub Tech specialized in the CVOR. The role requires CST certification, extensive CVOR experience, and the ability to perform first and second scrub across all CVOR cases. CPR and BLS are essential, with training in TAVR and Robotics.

The position emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and participation in ongoing process improvements within the CVOR, and may involve floating to other operating room areas as needed.

Formación

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or 2 years' OR experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech/LPN or military training.
• 5 years’ experience required, CVOR preferred.
• Surgical Technician Certification (CST) required.
• Operating room experience required.
• CPR certified; BLS required.
• Trained in TAVR and Robotics.

Responsabilidades

• Functions as an expert in first and second scrub roles within the CVOR.
• Serves as a resource to team members, providing expertise, mentorship, and guidance.
• Exercises advanced clinical judgment to anticipate needs and respond to evolving situations.
• Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment.
• Assists in transporting the patient to and from the operating room.
• Involved in process improvement projects.
