Job summary

Allen Control Systems is seeking a Senior Level Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer to develop and optimize CV/ML systems for an autonomous gun turret focused on real-time drone detection, tracking, and classification. You will work with electrical engineers to integrate vision into the turret’s hardware and help harden the prototype into a military-grade system.

The role demands 7+ years in ML-based CV, strong Python/C++ skills, and hands-on experience with embedded systems and sensor

Qualifications

• 7+ years in ML-based computer vision, ideally in robotics.
• BS/MS in CS/EE or related field with ML/vision focus.
• Proven track record deploying CV/ML in real-time or safety-critical apps.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with embedded hardware and sensor integration (cameras, LiDAR, radar).
• Collaborates effectively with engineers to solve complex tech challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CV/ML algorithms for real-time drone detection, tracking, and classification.
• Design and deploy models that run in resource-constrained environments with high reliability.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate CV systems into turret hardware.
• Test and validate CV/ML performance across diverse scenarios and conditions.
• Contribute to hardening the prototype into a military-grade system and variants.
