Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking a Senior Entry Writer in Rancho Dominguez, CA to ensure accurate submission of customs entries and compliance with CBP regulations. The role requires at least 6 years of entry writing experience in a customs brokerage, a relevant degree, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.

Standard business hours apply with potential evenings, weekends, and overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience as an Entry Writer in a customs brokerage environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or a high school diploma/GED.
• Competency in Microsoft Office and Google applications Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and transmit accurate and compliant customs entries.
• Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and other import documentation to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Research and apply correct HTS classification.
• Determine appropriate customs valuation methods and apply relevant duties, taxes and fees.
• Maintain accurate and organized entry files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
