Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking an experienced Customer Account Manager in Connecticut. You will serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, coordinating across Sales, Production, Engineering, and Quality to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate data across portals and ERP.

Responsibilities include managing orders, forecasts, quotes, and contracts, while maintaining pricing structures and supporting AR activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Account Management or related role in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, EAR/ITAR and export compliance.
• Experience with purchase orders and quotes.
• Strong written and spoken communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office and Windows; ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for assigned customer inquiries and advocate for customer needs.
• Provide proactive updates on order status throughout production.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery and monitor metrics.
• Monitor critical parts and schedule disruptions; develop recovery plans.
• Maintain customer demand and forecast data in the ERP system.
• Use customer portals to manage quotes, POs, forecasts, shipments, and specs.
• Respond to RFQs, government solicitations, and contract reviews.
• Support proposal development and data entry in tracking system.
• Maintain pricing structures on existing contracts per agreement parameters.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain relationships.
• Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Product, Production, Quality, Shipping, and AR.
• Assist Accounts Receivable by resolving discrepancies and managing terms.
• Coordinate customer returns with Quality Control and Product Management.
• Partner with Order Entry to ensure accurate order processing.
