Position Summary

We seek a dynamic Senior Customer Marketing Manager passionate about cultivating customer relationships, showcasing success stories, and executing impactful marketing programs. You will develop strategic customer initiatives, create compelling content, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to foster customer advocacy. This role is ideal for a seasoned marketer inspired by customer-centric storytelling and eager to lead innovative programs at Harness.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and scale customer marketing programs focusing on activation, engagement, and advocacy to enhance brand awareness and revenue.
2. Identify, craft, and deliver compelling customer stories and content across multiple channels, including blogs, case studies, videos, webinars, and speaking engagements.
3. Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to identify and leverage customer advocates for marketing initiatives.
4. Coordinate customer engagement activities at events, webinars, and conferences—sourcing speakers, organizing meetups, and preparing customers for presentations.
5. Manage validation programs supporting product launches, analyst engagements, and press opportunities with customer participation.
6. Execute customer review and rating programs on platforms like G2 and Gartner Peer Insights to boost engagement and credibility.
7. Lead the Customer Advisory Board, fostering feedback loops that inform internal teams and improve customer experience.
8. Maintain an updated database of customer references to support sales, marketing, and success initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in customer marketing, advocacy, or related roles, preferably in technology or DevOps.
• Proven success in developing and scaling customer advocacy and reference programs in enterprise settings.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with experience engaging senior and executive-level customers.
• Creative storyteller with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts.
• Strong project management skills, capable of leading complex programs from start to finish.
• Collaborative, with experience aligning cross-functional teams in global, remote environments.
• Track record of creating impactful customer content and driving participation in marketing initiatives.

Work Location

• Remote within the U.S., with occasional travel.
