Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW : The Senior Customer Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to achieve objectives for key accounts, focusing on forecasting, budgeting, and ensuring quality specifications are met. They will be responsible for setting targets related to volume, revenue, market share, new business opportunities, new item distribution, and implementing corporate initiatives within assigned accounts and geographic areas. Additionally, they will engage with clients to provide training on product handling, cold chain management, inventory control, and other relevant areas, acting as a liaison between sales and operations.The Senior Customer Manager will foster and manage client relationships while working collaboratively across various departments to achieve shared objectives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Present comprehensive category management data to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of customer pricing protocols.
  • Create and propose new business proposals, offering pricing recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to support key strategic accounts.
  • Develop accurate monthly volume and sales forecasts.
  • Respond to requests for product information and develop tailored sales presentations.
  • Coordinate the setup of new customers and products in internal systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in the produce industry
  • Highly preferred : Previous experience in produce and category management
  • Ability to travel as needed

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT :

  • Predominantly office-based work in a temperature-controlled environment
  • Long periods of desk or computer terminal work
  • Use of keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment
  • Some physical activity may be required, such as stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching
