Slickdeals in San Mateo, CA seeks a Senior Customer & Business Data Analyst to join the Finance & Business Operations team. This high-visibility role shapes how we understand our business, users, and growth opportunities, reporting to the VP of Finance & Business Operations.

You’ll analyze customer behavior, marketplace performance, and product data, driving strategic decisions and long-term value for the company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business analytics, customer analytics, product analytics, strategy, BI, or similar.
• Advanced SQL skills and ability to independently explore large datasets.
• Strong business judgment linking analytics to customer behavior and economics.
• Ability to structure ambiguous questions and develop clear recommendations.
• Curious, proactive mindset with hypothesis-driven analysis.
• Strong storytelling to distill insights for executives.
• Experience analyzing customer behavior: acquisition, engagement, retention, conversion, segmentation, cohorts, or LTV.
• Comfort with detailed analyses and broad strategic questions, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisions; proficient in Tableau or similar and Excel/Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic and operational analysis across customer, deal, merchant, product, and financial data.
• Develop understanding of customer and marketplace behavior to explain changes and impacts.
• Size new products and growth opportunities with data-driven assessments.
• Validate new data sources with Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
• Identify important business questions and pursue analyses to improve decisions, leveraging AI when useful.
• Communicate insights clearly via dashboards and presentations for leadership and Board.
