Job summary

The City of Saint Paul is hiring a Custodian Engineer III to supervise custodial and custodial engineering staff and to apply advanced maintenance knowledge to grounds and buildings. The role requires a Second Class C Operating Engineer's License and a Minnesota Class D driver's license.

Work is primarily on-site, with possible night/weekend shifts, at 367 Grove St, Saint Paul, MN. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance projects, operating and maintaining HVAC and building systems,

Qualifications

Four years of progressively responsible custodial experience.
Must possess a Second Class C Operating Engineer's License.
Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct custodial workers.
Assess facility maintenance needs and coordinate resources.
Operate and oversee equipment, vehicles, and safety training.
Monitor and repair heating and cooling plant systems; maintain grounds and buildings.
Apply laws, regulations, standards, and procedures for maintenance activities.
Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds under various conditions.
