UC Santa Barbara is seeking a dedicated custodian to support campus facilities. The role involves cleaning 30,000 square feet and operating a range of cleaning equipment during the early morning hours.

You will perform general custodial tasks, safety checks, and minor repairs, while ensuring reliable attendance and clear communication with teammates. A High School Diploma is preferred, with at least six months of cleaning experience required.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a custodial cleaning operation or equivalent training and experience.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsabilités

• Provide custodian services for all listed areas, including stairs, hallways, corridors, walls, windows, and roof decks.
• Dust, mop, sweep, and clean high‑speed hard and resilient floors.
• Operate ground‑level equipment (vacuum cleaners, wet‑dry vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers).
• Perform minor repairs, descaling, and polishing of furnishings, metal fixtures, and walls.
• Safeguard keys, lock unoccupied areas, and maintain situational awareness of hazards.
• Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continuing education.
• Maintain a reliable attendance record and communicate effectively with team members.
