Job summary

The University of California - Santa Barbara is seeking a Custodian Senior for the Campus Facilities team. The role covers cleaning duties across multiple areas, minor maintenance, and safe storage of equipment, with compliance to the Physical Facilities Safety Program.

Working 2:00am-10:30am, Monday to Friday, you will ensure high standards of cleanliness, assist with emergencies, and support department goals while upholding UC policies and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a custodial cleaning operation or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Preferred High School Diploma
• Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, floor scrubbers is preferred

Responsibilities

• 80% Custodial Services - provides custodial service for ~30,000 SQF; operates vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers; cleans various areas and surfaces.
• 10% Safety & Security - locks unoccupied areas after cleaning; maintains safety awareness.
• 10% Departmental Goals - communicates effectively; maintains attendance and participates in trainings.
