This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), which has exclusive bargaining rights over employment terms related to this role, potentially including coverage under a collective bargaining agreement.

Compensation Range : $18 / hr - $21 / hr, based on experience.

Overview :

The Senior Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and attractive facility for tenants, clients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, setting up for meetings and events, and ensuring facility upkeep to prevent deterioration.

Responsibilities : Primary :

1. Implement and maintain cleaning schedules.
2. Ensure OSHA compliance.
3. Attend relevant training sessions and ensure staff participation.
4. Assess the facility regularly to meet client and agency needs.
5. Advise the Facility Manager on personnel, material, subcontract, and equipment needs to meet operational plans.

Secondary : People and Teamwork

1. Build relationships across departments and promote teamwork.
2. Address questions and concerns, evaluate issues, and collaborate on solutions.
3. Maintain professionalism and effective communication.
4. Provide excellent customer service, recognizing team members' needs and communicating clearly and constructively.
5. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
6. Certificate of Fitness for Fire Panel operation (S95) within six months.
7. Experience working with low-income and marginalized communities, especially those with chronic health conditions.
8. Ability to think critically, exercise judgment, and work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
9. Strong computer skills, including MS Office and familiarity with Salesforce or similar.
10. Willingness to travel for job-related appointments and meetings.
