The University of North Florida Board of Trustees is seeking a Custodian for the Department Physical Facilities, Custodial Services. The role involves cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas to APPA standards, with additional duties to support events and daily operations.
Schedule is Sunday through Friday, 10 PM to 6:30 AM. Requires at least a ninth-grade completion and 1+ year of relevant experience; some positions may require a driver’s license.
Department Physical Facilities, Custodial Services Compensation $16.64 Hourly
This is work performing housekeeping duties including cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices, common-use areas, and carpet and tile floors in accordance with the APPA cleaning standards.
Leadership Cleans and maintains classrooms, offices, kitchens, conferences rooms, common areas, stairways and building entrance areas. Cleans windows, doors, and display cases. Performs additional floor cleaning and maintenance duties. This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.
The incumbent's work is reviewed by the supervisor for accuracy and to ensure instructions are being followed.

Completion of ninth (9th) grade required and 1+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Some positions may require possession of a classified driver’s license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.
This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check. The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.
