Qualifications

• Event setup and moving services knowledge.
• Cleaning systems familiarity.
• Custodial chemicals knowledge and mixing considerations.
• Ability to train staff effectively.
• Experience with powered custodial equipment (e.g., auto-scrubbers, buffers).
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
• Safety standards and precautions in custodial operations; read and follow MSDS.
• Experience supervising staff and handling difficult people.
• Understand occupational hazards in custodial work.
• Familiarity with UW policies and the University environment.
• Ability to analyze issues and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and schedules operational work plans for staff across projects or units.
• Identifies resource needs and secures resources to complete projects.
• Develops and implements facility safety and emergency response policies.
• Provides training for new supplies and equipment usage.
• Exercises supervisory authority over at least 2 FTE employees.
