Job summary

The successful candidate will train staff on equipment and products, enforce high cleaning standards, and respond to customer service requests while supporting UWSP safety and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of event setups and moving services.
• Knowledge of cleaning systems and products.
• Understanding of custodial chemicals and mixing considerations.
• Ability to train staff effectively.
• Experience with powered custodial equipment (auto-scrubbers, buffers, no-touch systems).
• Familiarity with safety standards and MSDS requirements.
• Experience supervising and handling difficult people.
• Awareness of custodial safety and hazard prevention.
• Ability to coordinate, troubleshoot, and respond to customer service requests.
• Understanding UW policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develops and schedules work plans for staff across projects.
• Identifies resource needs and secures materials and personnel.
• Establishes safety and emergency response procedures compatible with university policies.
• Provides training on new supplies and equipment to staff.
• Exercises supervisory authority over multiple FTEs as needed.
