Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a CT technologist to perform routine CT imaging and mentor junior staff, adhering to radiation safety and departmental standards. You will operate CT equipment, prepare patients, and ensure image quality while maintaining patient confidentiality in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Required qualifications include a High School diploma, ARRT radiography (R) and/or NMTCB, BLS, and an unrestricted state license, with advanced CT cert within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• ARRT radiography (R) and/or NMTCB certification preferred/required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current unrestricted state license to practice.
• Advanced CT certification within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Operate radiology equipment to complete imaging per protocol.
• Explain procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Review images prior to transmission for diagnostic quality.
• Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Support departmental operations and maintain compliance.
