Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform routine CT procedures and mentor junior staff. The role requires ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility, a valid state license, and BLS. Flexibility for shift work and travel between facilities is expected.

The ideal candidate will have strong CT knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining patient safety and image quality.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility with time frame.
• Current unrestricted state license and BLS certification.
• CT knowledge and ability to work with patients.
• Flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays, and travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Operates imaging equipment per protocol and website requirements.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs quality control and regulatory compliance tasks.
• Assists in department operations and staffing logistics.
• Adapts communication to patient population and maintains privacy.
