Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a CT technologist to perform advanced imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while supporting department operations.

The role includes setting up equipment, patient positioning, and executing CT protocols. You will mentor colleagues, oversee workflow, and participate in quality control and regulatory compliance efforts.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and CT (ARRT-CT) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, including 1 year in CT.
• Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in patient positioning, radiation safety, and advanced CT protocols.
• Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT exams with accuracy and safety.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure proper identification.
• Administer contrast media safely and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain high-quality imaging and post-process advanced CT protocols.
• Maintain equipment, monitor radiation doses, and report malfunctions.
• Collaborate with team, support department efficiency, and participate in improvements.
• Mentor and train fellow technologists, participate in hiring and competency validation.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff, explaining procedures compassionately.
