Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a CT Technologist to support a mobile imaging team across multiple facilities. The role delivers safe, high-quality CT scans and compassionate patient care, with shifts that accommodate varied hours and benefits including PTO and educational support through a career development program.

You will verify patient identity, prepare patients, perform CT exams, and ensure accurate RIS/PACS documentation while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 2+ years hospital-based radiology/CT experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams per orders, safety protocols, and dept. standards.
• Verify patient identity, take history, screen for contraindications including contrast risk.
• Communicate procedures clearly using AIDET with empathy and confidence.
• Prepare, position, and assist patients with mobility and safety measures incl. IV access.
• Operate CT equipment and injectors safely to optimize imaging and minimize radiation exposure.
• Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings, collaborate with physicians as needed.
• Complete accurate documentation, manage RIS/PACS entries, and perform QC checks.
• Support daily operations and maintain equipment in compliance with standards.
