Job summary

Genesis Staffing is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural (CSA) Engineer for a contract-to-direct opportunity in Charleston, WV. The role requires senior technical leadership across CSA scope and coordination with Clients, GID, and Home Office teams to ensure safe, high-quality project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years CSA experience, PE licensure where required, and strong knowledge of codes and standards. This is a hybrid position supporting complex industrial and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering or related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) licensure where required by law.
• 10+ years of CSA experience, including 3+ years in technical or project leadership.
• Strong knowledge of codes, regulations, manufacturing standards, and industry best practices.
• Experience establishing discipline work processes, leading teams, delivering complex engineering packages, and supporting project closeout.
• Experience with project estimating and technical proposal development.
• Formal training in leadership and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across CSA scope.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet client, and regulatory standards.
• Incorporate information into equipment and material specifications, data sheets, testing requirements, and material requisitions.
• Lead and support technical bid clarifications, evaluations, vendor data reviews, and certification activities.
• Review and authorize work completed by engineers, designers, and specialists.
• Contribute to cost estimating and proposal development.
• Support project execution strategies.
• Lead CSA teams, plan and coordinate work, and monitor progress.
• Mentor junior team members and develop a high-performing engineering culture.
