Job summary

Wormholelabs in the United States is seeking an accomplished accounting professional to manage monthly closes across multiple entities and maintain crypto subledgers. You’ll reconcile crypto trading, DeFi positions, and intercompany accounts while applying GAAP.

The role requires hands-on QuickBooks Online work, advanced Excel modeling, and the ability to set up new entities and COAs. Experience with crypto subledgers and regulatory documentation is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years specifically in crypto or digital assets.
• CPA qualification or actively working toward it
• Deep familiarity with wallets, token transfers, swaps, and perps
• Working understanding of DeFi, including liquidity pools, AMMs, and lending protocols
• Hands-on experience with QBO and at least one crypto subledger
• Advanced Excel skills (INDEX/MATCH, complex modeling)
• Comfort with multi-entity and intercompany accounting under GAAP

Responsibilities

• Run the monthly close for several entities in QuickBooks Online, including bank and exchange reconciliations and intercompany tie-outs
• Maintain crypto subledgers by importing and validating exchange and on-chain transaction data
• Reconcile trading and liquidity activity across CEX, perp venues, and DeFi LP positions
• Set up and maintain charts of accounts for new entities and business lines
• Prepare monthly retainer and revenue share invoices and maintain associated trackers
• Support entity structuring, intercompany loans, and related party transactions
• Prepare annual filings and tax workpapers for outside CPA firms
• Assemble KYB packages and documentation for institutional partners
• Maintain AML/OFAC program documentation and coordinate regulatory responses
• Support HR and payroll operations in Rippling
• Build and maintain financial models in Excel and Google Sheets
